Welcome to the blog of Thompson and White Tea Company. The tea company was created by two best friends who love tea and love to talk! Our names are Beth and Karen and if talkin' and drinkin' tea were an Olympic sport we would definitely get the gold! Even though we have been talking over a cup of tea for almost 15 years, we only decided to start our own business 4 years ago. It should come as no surprise that the idea to start a tea company happened while we were talking and drinking tea!
We began by purchasing lots of great tea things and many (this is an understatement) yards of fabulous fabric. We made all the fabric into table toppers, runners, placemats, napkins and tea cozies and put everything in the back of Beth's well used and loved minivan and we were officially Thompson and White Tea Company. It was a hoot! Our husbands thought we were crazy. (we probably still are-fortunately they love and support us anyway!) And our wonderful friends opened their homes to host many at-home tea parties. We had a great time and drank lots of tea!
Those wild days of traveling all over the east coast came to an end and now we have decided to go global with the help of the Internet. We are so excited about the debut of our first website. It is still in the making, but we will let you know when you can see for yourself what 15 years of tea drinkin' does to a person!
In the meantime, we want to make this blog a place for TEA TALK. Everything from simple stories to soapbox speeches. From delectable recipes to creative party ideas. And who knows what else!

The Thompson White teapot and tea cozy arrived. I wish you could see how great they look in the kitchen.
My friend Jil came to visit for a few days. As we "caught up" over a pot of tea, we were amazed how long the tea stayed hot in the cozy. It got lots of use during Jil's visit. It's the best tea cozy I've ever had. Now Jil wants one.
